Videos posted online by local residents showed the macaques roaming through the fields, darting between rows of corn and lingering among the crops.
The Zhangcunping township authority said on August 18 that the animals seen in the fields were wild macaques that normally live in the nearby mountains. Local village officials are now assessing the extent of the crop damage caused by the animals.
A township official said it is relatively rare for the macaques to venture so close to residential areas. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
According to the report, farmers whose cornfields were damaged may be eligible for compensation if their crops are covered by insurance.
Local village authorities and police are also expected to work together to drive the macaques away from the area and prevent them from continuing to enter nearby farmland, the report said.

。    中新社北京8月21日电 (记者 郭超凯)医疗保障法草案三次审议稿将提请十四届全国人大常委会第二十四次会议审议。全国人大常委会法工委发言人黄海华21日在记者会上表示，草案三审稿拟细化异地就医医药费用结算要求，增加长期护理保险相关规定。                        　　2026年4月，十四届全国人大常委会第二十二次会议对医疗保障法草案进行了二次审议。黄海华在记者会上介绍，根据各方面意见，草案三次审议稿拟作以下主要修改：一是立法目的进一步体现健康优先发展战略，二是完善医疗保障体系有关规定，三是充实医疗保障基金管理有关规定，四是细化异地就医医药费用结算要求，五是增加长期护理保险相关规定，六是完善有关法律责任规定。         　　谈及草案在加强医保基金管理使用方面的修改完善，黄海华表示，医疗保障基金是老百姓的看病钱、救命钱，基金的使用和管理涉及多个方面，社会关注度很高。在草案审议和征求意见过程中，有不少意见建议进一步明确有关制度要求。         　　黄海华说，草案三次审议稿积极回应各方意见，根据有关改革精神和实践做法，规定国务院医疗保障行政部门在组织制定基本医疗保险基金支付范围、组织开展循证医学和经济性评价时，除了征求有关部门意见外，还应当采取适当方式听取医疗机构、药品经营单位、相关企业、专家和参保人员的意见，增强相关工作的科学性、民主性。同时，草案还对建立和完善药品、医用耗材集中采购制度，实行多元复合式医疗保险支付方式，优化异地就医直接结算服务等作了规定，为相关改革和工作推进提供法律依据。(完) 【编辑:万纪玮】。
